REVISED CHEMICAL FORMULAE

A paper on the mineral satimolite has been recently published [Mineralogical Magazine, 82 (2018), 1033-1047] in which the ideal chemical formula of the mineral is given as KNa2(Al5Mg2)[B12O18(OH)12](OH)6Cl4·4H2O, with magnesium as an essential constituent. These data were examined carefully by the CNMNC officers and were considered reliable. Accordingly it was agreed to modify the formula of satimolite in the official IMA List of Minerals.
